"What Kind of Supplements Should I Be Taking?

So many questions get asked at our clinic when it comes to supplementation and optimizing the body. "How much should I take a day?" "What is the best supplement to take?" "Do I really NEED this supplement?" Here is the answer!

"…It depends on your goals!" Everyone's body is different when it comes to lifestyle, workouts, diet, sleep quality….multiple factors play a role! As people age, go through different health journeys, and dietary choices.

There are essential nutrients that your body needs, which means that your body simply cannot produce it on its own. Rather it needs it through supplementation or diet. The top supplements in that category are Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin D. These are the nutrients are body needs when it comes to anti-inflammatory, immune system function, and muscle function. Over 80% of Americans are deficient in Omega 3's, and when it comes to Vitamin D, especially living in the north/Midwest, it is very tough to get sufficient Vitamin D levels enough to let our bodies function properly

Other Supplements that are great to use include

  • 1.Protein for muscle development, muscle recovery from soreness and function. Along with hair skin and nail support
  • 2.Vitamin B12 for nerve function, red blood cell formation, bone health and support, and energy
  • 3.Magnesium for mood, muscle function, muscle cramps, sleep improvement and muscle relaxation
  • 4.Multivitamin to help fill in those gaps in the diet whether its lack of vegetables and/or fruit. Great for body function
